How Fabric Overlay Works

Fabric overlay is typically used in situations where the base structure is still sound, but the surface requires reinforcement. The process involves:



1. Cleaning and preparing the existing asphalt surface
2. Applying a tack coat
3. Installing high-strength polypropylene paving fabric
4. Laying a new asphalt layer (minimum 1.5" compacted thickness)
5. Final compaction and finish
