MILLING

MILLING

This process is often used in conjunction with others on both concrete and asphalt to prolong the pavement’s life and correct irregularities. Effects noticed immediately from milling include providing a smoother surface while also producing more macro texture, which improves the level of skid resistance, noise and safety. Milling is primarily employed in cases where surface irregularities exist because of construction or the effects of repeated heavy traffic.
